Returning Back to School

Ah, spring break. A time for fun in the sun, relaxing and being stressed out beyond belief? One of the biggest feelings shared by most students around the country is the overwhelming stress load or lack of motivation when it comes to going back to school after a whole blissful week of pure leisure. Here are some tips to help you not only get back on track, but to be more ready than ever to attack the rest of your semester or the beginning of your new quarter!

1. Check your syllabus before you go on break.

One of the biggest buzz kills ever is finding out that you have an assignment to do over spring break, let alone showing up to class the following week empty handed. Make sure that you take a look at all your syllabi before you set out on your next adventure so you can make sure that you plan accordingly.

2. Decide how much work you should do pre-break.

Depending on your workload, there may come a time when you have to have to actually sit down and schedule when you are going to get it all done. Some people would prefer to get it all done before spring break, but if your plans don’t include traveling anywhere, it may be a good idea to just set aside some time throughout the week as minimal as you wish- so that you can get all your work done over time. It’s much better to get it done in increments as opposed to cramming it all together before class.

3. Find time to actually enjoy spring break and don’t procrastinate.

With these tips, don’t feel like your break has to be all business all the time. It’s called a break for a reason! You just want to make sure that you have all the required work done so that you can enjoy yourself thoroughly. When all is said and done, you want to make sure that you actually enjoy your break and get all your work done in a timely manner.
