To become a successful transcriptionist based at home, you need to consider your finances. You need at least six to eight months of earnings saved to execute your business. In addition, should anything happen, you will have some back up savings to fall back on.

NOTE: For networking, I recommend starting small and expanding your scope with time. Focus on your niche in the industry (i.e. medical, legal, business, academic, etc.) to gain footing there, and then as you become more of an influencer start to broaden your networking by tapping into more channels.
