Sharing Success Secrets on Working From Home

Call me atypical, but the power suits the heels that to go with them, and daily arbitrary trips to the office is just not for me. Instead, I love the idea of being able to work from home. After high school, I took a course in office administration – although I never really had any plans to work in any office. Afterwards, I thought I would use the skills I had learned anyway, as I figured out what I could do to earn money from home.

I took a job as an office administrator. The job and the people were good, but I still wanted to work from home. I started researching various ways to do this, and it turned out to be quite a wild ride. I got scammed more than once with cleverly packaged and advertised work from home opportunities doing different things from selling kitchen products, children’s books and educational toys and cosmetics. I learned quite a lot in terms of the kind of home jobs I did not want to do.

My break came when I met a friend I had studied office administration with. It was lunchtime and she was seated at a cafe with her baby, so I was baffled when she laughed about how she should really check herself with the long lunch breaks when she should be working. I had to ask just what she meant.

She told me that she and her husband wanted to start a family right away. So rather than look for a job that she would soon have had to leave to take care of the baby, she looked into ways to make money from home.

She went online and found a transcription services company that had transcription jobs openings and applied. The company offers diversified transcription services including from one language to another and for different sectors including insurance, medical, business, academic and other fields.

I immediately got the name of the transcription services company, logged on and applied. The rest, as they say, is history. Mine is a history filled with convenient working hours, setting my own targets, no long daily commuting, good pay and lots of family time. Working with GMR Transcription has changed the way I run my life, and has really put the power of living back in my hands.
